Lädy is an artist and a movement. Lädy appropriates common iconography not only to claim her own power, but also to reference the pervasive force of its imagery. She incorporates the environment to manipulate reality and questions the very definition of "Lädy."

Lädy Millard has been spreading her street anthropology since 2001 and in recent years has displayed work throughout the streets of NYC, San Francisco, even as far as Japan. Although trained in different schools including the Art Students League, The High School of Art and Design and The Fashion Institute of Technology, Lädy refers to herself as an untrained artist because of her social experiences while attending these institutions. Recent exhibitions include 111 Minna and other group shows across the country

Fourth of November, a New York born dry goods company, recently partnered with Footaction and Eastmen Collective to create a touring art series, called the "Fourth of November Artist Series". The idea was to highlight the relationship between artistsan ideals and craftsmanship using products from FON as a backdrop for the actual exhibition. We created a digital campaign in place that tells each artist's story, interview them and documents the journey of the denim, from inspiration, all the way to the finished product displayed at the specialty exhibition / event.

About Lady Millard:
Lady Millard is a multidisciplinary street artist, director of the Con Artist Gallery in the Lower East Side , and owner of Under1Roof, a studio and artist residency program she developed in the Bronx New York. Her works is best known for appropriating iconography, utilizing her environment and manipulating images with the intent to ignite dialogue.
Lady Millard has been spreading her street anthropology since 2001 and in recent years has displayed work thought the NYC, San Francisco, and New Zealand.
